Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of www.tillythecoder.com (the “Website”) and any related services (the “Service”) provided by Tilly The Coder (“we,” “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By registering for an account, enrolling in a course, subscribing to Pro features or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to comply with these Terms.
Eligibility
• You must be at least 13 years old.
• If you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you may use the Website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
• You represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Account Registration
• To access courses, comment on articles or upload a profile photo, you must register for an account by providing your name, email, username and an encrypted password.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Payments and Subscriptions
5.1 Payment Processor
All payments are processed through Stripe. You will be redirected to Stripe’s secure site to enter your payment details; no card or banking information is stored on our servers. By providing payment information, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
5.2 Pricing and Billing
Course fees, subscription rates and any applicable taxes or fees are displayed at checkout. Prices may change; changes will apply only to new purchases.
5.3 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period using your chosen payment method unless you cancel prior to renewal. You will receive notice of the upcoming renewal at least seven days in advance.
Refunds and Cancellation
6.1 EU and UK Right of Withdrawal
If you are a resident of the European Union or the United Kingdom and qualify as a “Consumer,” you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of contract conclusion, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, notify us at tilly@tillythecoder.com before the withdrawal period ends. If you access digital content (e.g., start a course) with your prior consent and acknowledgment that you lose your withdrawal right, you waive this statutory right upon commencement.
6.2 Money‑Back Guarantee
All users may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if they are not satisfied. To request a refund, send an email with your order details to tilly@tillythecoder.com. Access to purchased content will be revoked upon refund.
6.3 Other Jurisdictions
Users in the United States and Canada do not have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content, but may rely on the 14‑day money‑back guarantee above.
User Conduct and Content
• You agree not to post unlawful, defamatory, obscene, abusive, hateful, harassing, violent or threatening content.
• You agree not to impersonate others, scrape data, distribute malware, spam or disrupt the Website.
• By submitting comments or uploading a profile photo, you grant us a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to use, reproduce, modify and display your content for the operation of the Service.
Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, designs, source code and software on the Website are owned by Tilly The Coder or its licensors. You may view and stream courses and download materials only for your personal, non‑commercial use. Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution or creation of derivative works is prohibited.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Website and Service are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non‑infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, except for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third‑party rights.

For users based in the United States, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
12.3 Canada
For Canadian users, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
